4th of July, 2009 After the Peninsula TEA Party at the Fountain in Newport News from 11 AM to 1 PM caravan up route 17 to Yorktown where the TEA Party continues This 4th of July in at The Commons by the Riverwalk Landing in Yorktown, old style democracy in action will be on display as the public is invited to participate in a series of patriotic soapbox speeches addressing anything and everything from local issues to constitutional matters. Come as a founding father, in colonial attire or as you are and enjoy Yorktown beach and independence in action!
This is a series of patriotic-themed soapbox style speeches
approximately 10 minutes each to be given by anyone with something to say. THIS JUST IN: There will be a PA system! Thank you Serriff Diggs & York County Admin. See sign up sheet to the right. It is open equally to all citizens including but NOT limited to politicians. A patriotic theme is suggested and civility demanded but no other restrictions.
