Distracted by design

Well I have to admit to being a bit distracted lately. There are so many things in American life that tend to take you away from what's really important, almost as if by design.
First there is work and bills and the fact that everyone in the house has to work a full week and then some just to make ends meet. And the work day is so full since every minute of every employee's day has to be productive if any business is to stay afloat. And now it's Fall!  You know what that means. Yes, new seasons of TV shows plus whole new series and dramas. I just don't have time for it all. One particular drama has captured most of my attention though. It's one in which the whole world gets this flash of the future. They wake from it to see downed airplanes and mayhem. In an instant the world has changed. People all over the world are forced to take stock and reevaluate what is important. It's really just getting started so it's hard to tell what's going to happen but already you see a handful of people are starting to put it together. It's looking like these may be the heroes that see the significance of all the events and take action. Personally, I think it's a chance to set things right before the end of days.  It's a chance to return this country to it's rightful place as the beacon of liberty to the world. It's one last chance for people to be free as God intended.
No, I am wrong. This distraction is by design, but not His design.
