Health Care Rally in Washington, DC

November 5, 2009

Steps of the US Capitol

Footage of crowds and interviews posted on YouTube

Renaissance Women Productions has posted on YouTube.com . . . at Ren Women Productions, 5 segments (under 10 min. each) of the footage gathered at the rally with attribution to Nina May and the Renaissance Women Productions, (rwnetwork.net), and Va. Living TV.

There were over 30,000 people on the west side of the US Capitol, Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009. The crowd was full of people who had never been involved politically, didn’t even know what congressional district they were in, or who their elected official was. They were not partisan at all, and many didn’t even know if their representative was Democrat or Republican . . . they just knew if they were supporting or opposing the health care bill . . . and would vote in 2010 accordingly.

Segment one . . . http://www.youtube.com/user/RenWomenProductions  Shows the crowds outside the three House Office Buildings, waiting in long lines to get in. We interviewed dozens of people from all over the country, telling where they are from, why they came and who their elected official is. Surprisingly, there were a lot of people who were there just to show support for their representative who is voting against the bill. Everyone was upbeat and positive, only one person was angry at being dismissed as “Astroturf”.

Segment two . . . http://www.youtube.com/user/RenWomenProductions

More interviews and comments from people in the crowd. Poignant story of a GE employee from Jacksonville, Fla. who held up a poster showing all the people he works with who chipped in to pay for the gas for him to make the trip on their behalf. This was the face of the crowd . . . people who made great sacrifices to make their voice heard. Everyone had a story, and stressed that they only had a few days to change their schedules to come in from all over the country. Many said they heard about the rally a week before on Sean Hannity’s radio show when Michele Bachman was a guest.

Segment three . . . http://www.youtube.com/user/RenWomenProductions

Interviews inside the halls of congress with people who either did or didn’t get in to see their representatives and what happened. One man told about the arrest of two teenage girls and a priest outside of Speaker Pelosi’s office. It was closed off to the public and designated a “crime scene.” They mention different offices visited and the responses. Many were very polite and encouraged by the reception they received, or frustrated and determined to keep trying to make their voices heard. It was stressed that it was not about politics or partisanship, one even condemned Senator Lugar, a Republican.

Segment four . . . http://www.youtube.com/user/RenWomenProductions

The opening of the press conference, rally, shots of the crowd, part of Pledge and Anthem and Michele Bachmann speech.

Segment five . . . http://www.youtube.com/user/RenWomenProductions

John Voight speech and shots of the crowd.

*Note: Nina May is our friend, owner of Channel 16 (Culpeper) & 17 (Orange) TV stations. She interviewed many of our 76+ who traveled in with us yesterday Nov 5. Our interviews will be aired frequently and footage of our CC TEA Party 912 groups has been aired locally over several weeks with more interviews to come. Several in our group were asked to back up against the wall in the hallway of the Cannon building when arrests took place after a man tore up a sheet of HR3400 Pelosi bill outside her office yesterday as police blocked off further entrance calling it a "crime scene". House Rep. Rob Whitman held a Q & A session prescheduled for us by the Federation of Virginia (VTPP) TEA Party Patriots in a park behind the Longworth Building. Sat. Nov. 7 is call for loud noise at the US Capitol like Gideon. Please be on alert for upcoming local grassroots protest with team of Doctors and panel. Appreciate all who participate to make us One Nation Under God ... with Liberty...! Rita Grace

The Hampton Roads Tea Party will help get you there.

Many, many thanks to Patriot Chris Fockler for making the arrangements for the bus.

T
he good news is that our efforts locally and nationwide have succeeded in delaying this monstrosity.  Now is the time to stand again.  That nasty Nancy Pelosi is trying to scare everyone with an
"Anthrax threat".  Really?

No, Nancy- we won't be fooled by your lies.  We have a FREEDOM PROMISE!  We will save our children and grandchildren from your Hell Care bill.

Go to the HR Tea Party site: http://hrteaparty.com
The information is right on the homepage.
There will be a pick up at Patrick Henry Mall.  If you live on the Penninsula, put "Patrick Henry Mall" in the comment section.

What if you can't go. Visit the local office of your Congressman.  Call their office at the capitol.  Remind your Congressman, that if he/she votes for this you will work to defeat them in next year's election.

Call the Capital switchboard at 202-224-3121 and ask for your Congressman's office.   Need your Local congressman's phone number?  Look 'em up here: http://www.house.gov/

Keep calling- even if you can't get through!  Call the local offices too.
(By now, some of you must have these numbers on speed dial).

you can still download the Constitutional Scorecard from the Tea Party - it's on the home page of our site.

Get out the vote! Many people are disgusted with the current state of affairs.  Some feel that no one running for office fully represents them, that they plan to sit this election out.  Bad move!! This is election is an important one.  Congressional redistricting will be an issue the state legislatures will be working on.  Re - asserting Constitutional State Sovereignty is a major policy initiative.  So Make sure you vote!  Your vote still counts!

monster
By now you have heard that Pelosi's latest "Health Care Reform" bill is worse than the one released this Summer.

It is nothing short of a total power grab by leftwing socialists and the only response is to fight it with every ounce of our being.

What you must do:

1)   CALL, EMAIL and FAX YOUR REPS to VOICE YOUR OPPOSITION TO GOVERNMENT RUN HEALTH CARE  Contact Info can be found online.  We know we've asked you this over and over, but now is the time when it matters most of all.  Let them know in no uncertain terms that we will not give up as long as our liberties are threatened.

2)  GO TO DCPlans are underway to protest the bill in DC on Thursday, November 5th.  Michelle Bachmann (R-MN) is leading the effort and is calling all freedom loving citizens to meet her on the Capitol steps at NOON.

If you plan to drive up, parking info is posted on the home page of the website.  Metro info is posted there also.

A forum has been opened up for those who wish to carpool.  There is not enough time to get buses together as permits are needed.  Use at your own discretion.

This is IT people.  We cannot look to what we did in the past - April 15th and September 12th don't matter now.  Our efforts delayed the bill but we aren't done.

What we do TODAY AND THIS WEEK is what counts.

Is your phone line busy yet?  Pick up the phone and call.

To: hrteaparty-announce@meetup.com

Hi Everyone!

By now, you have probably heard that this latest "health care bill" is
worse than the one the House produced this summer.

At the risk of sounding shrill, it really is the death knell of your freedom.

I wish I was overstating the case.

Ironically, the poor and the middle class will suffer the worst- the government
has a way of helping them become poorer and less free, while "caring for the
little guy". And Grandma's medicare is shot anyway, and "the rich" whoever
"they" are, will have an across the board 5% tax hike. Employers will pay fines.

And by 2013, private insurance will be illegal.

How's that for "reform" and competition? Lenin and Stalin would be cheering-
it's just how they hoped things would be in the West.

Abortion will be paid for by your tax dollars. Regardless of where you stand
on the issue of abortion- it is unconstitutional for the government to require
you to pay for it- any more than they do not require you to pay so that
others may exercise their right to own guns.

From Mike Pence- http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=165774888892

See the Bill for yourself- you must - people fought hard to get it posted-

http://docs.house.gov/rules/health/111_ahcaa.pdf

This is a serious call to action. Here's what to do:

1) MAKE SURE YOU VOTE on Tuesday. In Virginia Beach you can vote today
10/31 at the Municipal Center, the Buckner and Hilltop DMV. Contact the Virginia
Beach Voter Registrar (757-385-8683) for more information.

We cannot tell you who to vote for, but we can say that limited government, constitution
loving, tax-resistant candidates are your best bet. A deeply red victory in VA will help our alleged reps to listen and respond more appropriately. Don't assume that everything will be "ok".

2) Download the Constitutional Voter's Guide to the State Election put out by the
Virginia Tea Party Patriot Federation. http://hrteaparty.com Can you get just 100 copies out in your neighborhood, and take them to polling places (it's legal).

3) CALL ALL OF YOUR REPS. Again. Be very firm that you will not vote
for them ever and that you will work to defeat them if they vote for this.

4) Make sure you THANK Warner and Webb for voting against cloture-
Harry Reid's trick to get a vote on the bill in the Senate. We need to thank
them as profusely as we can when they do the right thing.

5) Michele Bachmann (Congresswoman from MN) is calling on people to meet her at NOON on Thursday on the Capitol steps to protest this absolutely totalitarian bill. I have posted an entry on our forum
http://hrteaparty.com/index.php?option=com_ccboard&view=postlist&forum=21&topic=59&Itemid=100
so that you can arrange to carpool. It is not enough time for us to get buses together.

The media is telling people that the Tea Party is dead. Or should I say the state propaganda machine telling people that.
Uniformed people who get their news from CNN and MSNBC, etc. believe it.

You need to show them just how strong we are.

I know that the leftists and radicals in this administration have put a drain on your life - taxing your time and your energy. We have successfully delayed the bill 3 months- remember when they

pushed for an early August vote? We have strengthened the Blue Dog Democrats. We have weakened Pelosi and Reid. But we are not done. Liberty, and your children's future is not yet secure.

I am not asking for money. I am asking for something much more valuable- your time and your physical presence.
Stand fast.
Stand Strong.
Take every action you can.
Flood the phone lines and their fax lines.
Go to D.C.
Vote.

And Pray.

God Bless America (She needs it more than ever)

Tea Party Leaders,

I was thinking, should we try and have a location where all the Virginia tea parties can meet up in DC on Thursday? It could be a great bonding experience amongst our groups and we can demonstrate our presence. :) Should we make a big sign that says, "Virginia" at the steps of the Capitol? We could also divide in groups to go visit our elected officials, to make more of an impact (you know, the mob thing we are always accused of...). What do you think? Anyone have a suggestion of where to meet at 11:45? I guess if we had a huge sign we could hold up we could find each other at the capitol steps?

Please hit reply all and let's have a discussion. I need your input. I can't think straight right now because I've got the flu. Let me know your thoughts. I think it would be good to gather as a group and let our Virginia tea party supporters see there are people like them all over Virginia.

All my best,
Jamie

The easiest place to meet might be between 1st St. and the Capitol Building. This is in front of the Reflecting Pool which would be easy for everyone to find.
I attach a map with an arrow pointing to the location. I work in Washington so maybe I could run over there during lunch tomorrow and recon the area.

Michele Bachmann has invited us. I plan to wear business attire with no signs (except small button). We will have less trouble with getting in the Capital Building if we look less like a mob. I suspect signs are not allowed inside. A large group of business people may have more clout and hopefully we can engage Congressmen in conversation. Just a suggestion.

From Richmond Tea Party:
House Call to Congress: Thurs. November 5th November 2, 2009
Our Message to Congress Has Been Loud and Clear:
Keep your hands off my health care!

But it appears our "representatives" in Washington still have every intention of ramming government take-over of health care down our throats. It seems that they won't be satisfied until every privately owned business is owned by government bureaucrats.

What can we do about it?

With you, Richmond Tea Party stood in the rain on April 15th to tell Congress to stop its out of control spending. With you, we stood for Liberty 101 on July 25th in the blazing sun. We ran billboard campaigns calling out our Senators' refusal to hold TownHall meetings in Richmond. With you, Richmond Tea Party hosted a Hands Off our Health Care House at the Richmond Home Show. We gathered 6,000 signatures on our Petition Against Government Take-over of Health Care. We called on our representatives to meet with us to deliver them, and they refused.

With you, Richmond Tea Party marched on DC on 9.12. With you, we have written letters, and emails and made phone calls - but even now, at this final hour, we are still facing the biggest budget busting, privacy invading, liberty robbing piece of legislation ever.

So, we must take our Protest to Washington.

On Thursday, Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann has invited tea partiers to come to Washington to talk to our representatives.

Jon Voight will be there! Will you?

One of our tea party members has offered to coordinate a BUS TRIP LEAVING FROM RICHMOND for people wanting to go to DC on Thursday, November 5th.

Departure: 915 N. Allen Avenue, Richmond, VA 23220 (off West Broad near the Science Museum) at 8:45 am. You can leave your car in the bus parking lot.

Arrive DC: Union Station around 11:00 am.
Depart DC: Union Station at 3:15 pm.

Arrive Richmond: Approx. 6:00 pm.

The cost per passenger is $30.00.

If you are interested in making a reservation, please email Sara J at
saraj@richmondteaparty.com (Note, this is not a Richmond Tea Party sponsored trip.)

Reservations MUST be made by Tuesday at 9:00 pm. A mininum number of reservations must be made by then to secure the bus.

Please note. You are being invited to meet with your Congressmen....wear appropriate business attire. Signs will not be allowed inside.

Robert Alexander - Nov 2, 2009 4:36 PM

Guys,

I am trying to get some information asap to Mrs. Armstrong (below). Are you guys, or are the libertarians organizing a bus to the capitol? If not, she needs to find another ride. Please cc: me on whether or not you can direct her to buses leaving Yorktown or Richmond?

Her message below:

I was under the impression that we were wanted in DC on Thursday, November 5th. If you have a bus going from Virginia, can you tell me if it is anywhere near Williamsburg. Virginia.

I would like to go, but I am almost 8o years old and have health problems. The trip alone would be difficult for me and would also worry my family.

Could you please let me know the answer to my questions as soon as possible so that if it is impossible to go with your group , then I could try and get there another way.

Thank you and God Bless!!

Hi guys, I am still recuperating from skin cancer surgery and I doubt I can make this one. We have a member who is putting together a bus and many carpooling/taking the train. If I'm not there we'll still have lots of Richmonders represented. And Jamie, of course.

Robert Alexander - Nov 2, 2009 4:55 PM

I just returned from the Capitol building. 1)The best location and easiest to find would
be the intersection of Pennsylvania Ave and 1st St. There is a traffic circle with a statue in the
center of it. There is room for a group to gather either around the statue or the walk going up to
the Capitol steps or the small park to the left. This is also near the reflecting pool so easy to
find. It's a short walk up the sidewalk to the steps on the West side of the Capitol.
I'd recommend meeting at 11:30 as someone suggested, especially if we have to move to the
east side to enter the building.
I attach a pdf of the Metro subway map for those who need it.

This is all great info - I particularly like the prohibited item list. Thank you!

I am personally coordinating buses to DC as it was too little time to do it thru the Richmond Tea Party - the nonprofit would require insurance riders/permits/waivers etc...ugh). The good news is I already filled one 55 seater bus and am well on the way with bus #2. (99th D- get your order in quickly....Doc is announcing it on the air this afternoon).

I hope to try to go - if I get the nerve up to wear a mask to cover my fresh scars- otherwise I am as scary looking as Nancy Pelosi.

Hope to see you all there :) You all are doing fabulous work.

Dear fellow Patriots,
Please join Jon Voight and Congresswoman Michelle Bachman on the East Capital Steps at 12 noon, Thursday, Nov. 5. Buses from old Circuit City bldg. near the NN Target will depart at 8 a.m. and depart DC at about 3 p.m. Congressman Wittman and others will meet us behind the Longworth Bldg. on the corner of NJ & C Streets at 2:30 p.m., providing Michelle's Press Conf. is finished.

This may be our best last chance to make a serious impact in the vote to STOP Socialized Medicine in the USA, so please seriously consider any way you can get to DC at noon Thursday. A vacation day or a sick day is worth it to hold onto our Republic!!! As Rep Bachmann stated, if this passes, the govt will own 48% of private capital in the US & capitalism will be dead! Health care represents about 18% of the total US economy and Dems desire to control even a larger portion of the economic wealth in America. Please email teapartypatriots@richmondteaparty.com to inquire about carpooling or bus transportation if you live outside the Hampton Roads area. This is a NATIONWIDE effort, so please make this a priority.

Michele Bachmann (R-Minnesota, 6th District) announced that she will be on
the steps of the Capitol Building in Washington DC on Thursday, November 5,
2009 at noon to confront Nancy Pelosi and other members of Congress. She is
asking for other concerned Americans to come to Washington DC this Thursday
at 12 noon and meet with her on the steps of the Capital Building to protest
the socialist health care bill being forced on the American public. She
stated that many Democrats are on the fence and need to hear from their
constituents. Michele wants everyone not in favor of the health care bill to
walk the halls of Congress and tell the Senators and Representatives they do
not want the health care plan. She said she would like for all who come to
Congress to make sure they visit the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, and
tell her what to do with her health care plan. It's clear that Nancy Pelosi
and the others supporting the Health Care bill are violating their Oath of
Office. This seems to be over looked by many. There is a Federal Statute
that makes violating your Oath of Office a criminal offense as it undermines
our Constitutional Republic.

What we need to do is bring criminal charges against all of them for a
violation of their Oath of Office as outlined in 5U.S.C. 7311 (1)

Please pass this out far and wide and show up Thursday. United we stand,
divided we fall.

Insurgency in Congress
We the People to come knocking on Congress door

?We the People? will come knocking on Congress? door noon hour, Thursday.

In another era, it was Paul Revere red flagging patriots with the immortal words, ?The British are coming!?.

Until patriots arrive on Congress steps Thursday at noon, it?s ?We the People are coming!? The courageous, Paul Revere like call to action is from bottom liner Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann, who wouldn?t let Democrats?who changed the locks on doors against the opposition?keep her from turning the tide on the countdown to Obamacare.

Waiting on the Congress steps will be radio talk-show giant, bestselling Liberty & Tyranny author and beloved American folk hero Mark Levin along with ?Midnight Cowboy?, ?Obama-is-the-false-prophet? crusader Jon Voight.

Being blacked out and bypassed by the mainstream media has only made Bachmann all the more determined to flood Congress with patriots.

Within mere hours of her rally call, the Tea Party Express together with the doctors of Take Back America and the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, the patriots of Tea Party Patriots Live and Resistnet vowed to ?Stand together, speak from the heart and remind Washington we will stand together to protect this country.?

?For months we have all been working feverishly to make sure that government run health care legislation is not passed. We have done it all,? writes Amy Kremer of Tea Party Express.

?We?ve yelled.
?We?ve called.
?We?ve emailed.
?We?ve written.
?We?ve rallied.
?We?ve even marched on the Capitol.

?Still our cries and concerns have not been heard.

?We have cried tears of despair and shouted in frustration, but still many are not listening.?

Michele Bachmann heard, and what started out as the lone voice of a single representative will be joined across the nation by patriots who could not make it to DC on the the notice allowed singing ?God Bless America? across the fruited plains.

?Insurgency in Congress? was the subject line of an email the Minnesota representative sent to Rush Limbaugh yesterday. ?We?re asking the American people to make an emergency house call on Congress at noon on the capitol steps Thursday to remind Congress what the people said at town hall and tea parties last August. If real freedom-loving Americans come to Washington and walk up and down the halls of the office buildings and the capitol tracking down congressman, looking them in the whites of their eyes and getting them on videotape, then I think we can kill this thing.? (RushLimbaugh.com, Nov. 2, 2009). ?If we can kill health care this week in the House, I think we will kill it for the next ten years. We have Jon Voight and Mark Levin confirmed, also Betsy McCaughey.?

Bachmann could add that ?We the People have the silent but powerful presence of the Founding Fathers, fallen soldiers who gave their lives for the freedom of others and patriots from America?s glorious history who would not believe what is happening in America today.

This Paul Revere fully understands that it will be a monumental task turning back the tide: ?We?ll have a meet-up at the Capitol steps and then the insurgency begins. It?s a big task, but it?s the best way to really kill the bill, which is our goal. Your support in any manner could make all the difference.?

Obama, whose helicopter flew over more than a million American patriots on the 9/12 gathering in DC on his was to Minnesota, and who is now boasting, ?I may be skinny but I?m tough?, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi will be working overtime to put the rubber-stamp on Obamacare by Friday, Nov. 6th.

Tweets will keep patriots together beginning 12:15 p.m. Thursday before patriots at the Capitol and across the nation sing ?God Bless America?. Patriots can update their location and progress throughout the day using Twitter hashtag #killbill.

Freedom lovers the world over count on America as the leader of the Free World. Their hopes and dreams are riding on the America Patriots working to save America.

Their cheer, growing louder by the day is: ?Go, Patriots, go!?

TRICIA STALL 10:17 AM (14 hours ago)

Dear Senators Warner and Webb, Congressmen Scott, Nye, Forbes, Wittman, and Cantor,

I spoke with Cassidy Rasnick (Warner's office) Melissa Bruns (Webb's office), Emily Compillo (Nye's office), Whitney Stockett (Wittman's office), submitted an on-line event invite form for Scott & Cantor (spoke to Cantor this morning), and left a voice message for Forbes' Chief of Staff, Dee Gilmore, regarding the following opportunity for you to join thousands of Virginians, Congresswoman M. Bachman, and Jon Voight Thursday, Nov. 5 at 12 Noon, on the East Capital Steps to show your concern for Virginians who adamantly OPPOSE a government take-over of 18% of the US Economy, health care. I realize this is "late notice" and am grateful to the other legislators who have made this a priority and will join us by either attending the 12 Noon Press Conference or joining Congressman Rob Wittman and others Nov 5, 2:30-3:00 p.m., behind the Longworth House Bldg. in the park at the corner of New Jersey St. and C Street. The park can be reached by walking down S. Capital St. or New Jersey Street. It is a grassy area with a fountain and benches and suitable for a large gathering.

We could possibly meet you in the Upper Senate Park and ask other legislators to meet us there if that is more suitable to you as we are most concerned about HOW you will vote on this important issue affecting Liberty for all US citizens. Many of us have contacted your offices expressing the need for Government Reform reducing our debt, along with Tort Reform, and identifying the Waste, Fraud & Abuse in the existing government Medicaid/Medicare programs.
http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=5419844n

We trust you will vote NO to the "Health Care" bill, and appreciate you making the time to at least acknowledge the VA delegation. Just look for the VA sign on the East Capital Steps.

Realizing the office can only accommodate about 8 visitors or about 25 in the hallway, we thought this would be the most expeditious way to meet with our Public Servants enabling all Virginians to meet collectively with our concerned legislators. This enables you to hear from your constituents, respecting our inability to obtain individual appointments in a timely fashion.

It's clear that Nancy Pelosi and the others supporting the Health Care bill are violating their Oath of Office. This seems to be over looked by many. There is a Federal Statute that makes violating your Oath of Office a criminal offense as it undermines our Constitutional Republic. Many think that we need to bring criminal charges against legislators choosing to violate their Oath of Office as outlined in 5U.S.C. 7311 (1)

Thank you for your service and caring enough to attend this most important and historical event with your constituents.
Respectfully,
Tricia Stall

Friends,

Thanks for all the discussion the last two days. Thanks to everyone's ideas and coordination it looks like we have a finalized plan. It is amazing what we are able to accomplish in 72 hours! I thought I would just put the final details here in one last email from what I have been able to glean from the email exchanges:

* I think every group has people going up on Thursday in some capacity. Some are going by carpool, caravan, buses, and rail. We will meet at 11:30am on the East steps of the Capitol. Look for the "Virginia" sign. The sign is a VERTICAL "political convention style" sign,it is just like what they use at conventions and has three sides so it can be seen from all sides. Marshall Smith will be holding the sign, so call him if you can't find the group: 757-217-7776
* Bachman will give her speech at noon on the Capitol Steps.
* Afterwards we can go visit our senators first, and then our representatives (for those who refused to meet with us behind Longworth Bldg)
* Tricia Stall has arranged for us to hopefully meet with some of our congressman. Congresman Whitman is confimed at 2:30 to meet with us all outside behind Longworth building, since we all wouldn't fit in his office. Behind Longworth there is a park at the corner of New Jersey St. and C Street. The park can be reached by walking down S. Capital St. or New Jersey Street. It is a grassy area with a fountain and benches and suitable for a large gathering. We will meet there at 2:30. We will wait to see who else meets with us during that time. She has invited other representatives and senators.

If anyone needs to reach me tomorrow my number is 804.301.5301. See you tomorrow!

All my best,

Jamie Radtke

Thursday's Important Health Care Event
November 4, 2009
Michelle Bachmann, Randy Forbes, Eric Cantor and others will be holding a Press Conference about Health Care on the Capitol Steps at Noon tomorrow.

Hundreds of Richmond Tea Party members will be on hand as concerned citizens from across the region join together to Take a Stand Against Government Run Health Care. Our members are traveling by car and bus and train. If you plan to be there, please join the Virginia Tea Party delegation at 11:30 on the East Steps of the Capitol. Look for the tall "Virginia" sign.

After the press conference, you will have time to try to meet your representatives. If you have not yet obtained an appointment, if may be difficult to do so, but it shouldn't prevent you from trying.

The major objective of this event is to derail the Health Care proposals that have been put forth in the House and Senate. When you meet with your Congressman or Senator please be prepared to discuss the specific provisions that really set your hair on fire. (There is plenty of reading material on the home page of the website to help you with this).

Randy Forbes has an excellent video that he just released today about the Health Care bill in its current form.

If you cannot attend tomorrow, please call your Congressman and ask him to Vote NO on the Pelosi plan. Harry Reid has yet to put forth his plan, but we should expect it will be ugly. It doesn't hurt to Call Senators Warner and Webb to tell them specific proposals you think are heinous and an assault on our liberty. (Aside from the fact that any government health care mandate is unconstitutional.)

If you cannot call, please fax or send an email.

Contact info for our Reps can be found on the website.

The battle is still in the early stages....EVIL PREVAILS WHEN GOOD MEN DO NOTHING
Thank you for being willing to continue to fight when others have quit.
Thank you!!

Rita Grace 5:48 PM (7 hours ago)

Heads up: The rally has been moved to the West side of the Capitol since it grew so large with no room for all participants (which is good news).

As the health care debate has drawn on, we've heard from our contacts on Capitol Hill that calls and visits to the members’ D.C. and district offices are making a big impact. Americans for Prosperity is joining with Representative Michele Bachmann and many others to drive citizen activists to pay a visit to their member of Congress tomorrow, November 5th, at noon.

We need your help to promote this effort and make it successful. We would appreciate any help you can provide by e-mailing your list, posting on your Web site, or doing anything else that you can to spread the word.

Here are the details:

When: Thursday, Nov. 5, Noon

What: Congressional "House Calls" to House and Senate district offices (or join Rep. Bachmann on the steps of the U.S. Capitol in D.C.)

What to do: Gather with friends outside the district office at noon; ask to speak with a staff member. Explain your concerns about the health care proposals under consideration and deliver your letters, stories, petitions, etc.

What to bring: Bring your sign, your personal story of why you don't want a Washington takeover of health care, and a hand-written letter for your member of Congress. Patients First, a project of AFP, will have an "Rx for Real Reform" prescription available for download from our Web sites, www.JoinPatientsFirst.com and . Also, bring your camera and send us at mailbag@afp-mail.com your pictures -- we'd love to post them

I was just on a conference call with Congresswoman Bachman and AFP. They were discussing details for tomorrow. I think we can easily expect 20,000 people tomorrow. They were saying that 26 buses were coming from New Jersey alone, plus buses from New York, PA, NC, MD, etc. It should be a great day. I even heard our own Tricia Stall and Marcia Funk ask questions to Michele Bachman...pretty cool.

As a result of the large crowds, they strongly encouraged people to plan on arriving early to find parking and get to the Capitol. The location has been changed due to the anticipated crowd size. It is now the WEST Capitol Steps (the House side).

Make sure you look for the Virginia sign that Marshall Smith of HRTP will have with him. I will also email you all tomorrow and let you know EXACTLY where we are when I get there, for those of you who have access to email on your phone and can't find us. I will also Twitter details throughout the day on my account: http://twitter.com/restorefounders

Remember to be respectful, professional, but firm on where you stand on health care. We want to make sure we focus on the Virginia freshman Democrat congressmen tomorrow, who should be shaking in their boots after the election in Virginia yesterday. It is going to be a good day...

All my best,

Jamie

House Vote on PelosiCare Set for Tonight
November 7, 2009
It 's a beautiful Saturday in Richmond but in Washington DC dark clouds loom as the House prepares to vote on the Health Care reform bill.

Even the Editorial staff of the Richmond Times Dispatch today questioned the constitutionality of the bill:

"It's worth asking Virginia's congressional delegation, and its two Democratic senators, similar questions: Do they believe the Constitution permits this unprecedented form of federal action? If so then is there anything Congress cannot require a citizen to buy? And if not, then should they vote in favor of an unconstitutional bill?"

Should they? If you say NO!!, then SEND A FAX NOW. The word is that phone lines are jammed but Faxes are still getting through.

The following Virginia Representatives are identified as those who may be convinced to vote against the bill... pick your targets. Don't waste time on those who have taken solid positions one way or another.

Hello Patriots :

We are currently in our darkest hour. Today it is sink or swim as Nurse Nancy and Comrade Obama are trying to force a $1.2 trillion (yes, with a T) bill that provides Cuban-style healthcare to our great nation. Either way it is going to be a close vote.So far all Republicans and 15 Dems have said no to ObamaCare.
We need 26 more Democrats to be out of the woods and have a majority. I have enclosed a complete contact list of all members of Congress. When this bill is either rejected or accepted , feel free to contact them and use your 1st Amendment Right while we still have it. Please click the link below.
